I can not be more glad to become part of this experience in which the LATAM community is getting stronger and pushing for earning visibility in a world dominated by an orthodox occidental supremacy art system. Those are moments to interact with different cosmotecnics in aims to rise for a better technological and descentralized future.
The collective exhibition propose to be an inmersive catalog of multiexhibitios displaced by cuban artist Marlon Portales and the cuban curator Gladys Garrote through portals that interconnect the rooms – galleries from the artists. Each portal represents an exhibition that has been curated by the selected creator. A multimedia an inmersive experience in which each room has an alternative world to be visited. All the artworks and galleries are connected through the blockchain tecnology so each artists has the governance of their artwork making the adquisition of the work stablished only between the collector and the creator with out the need of a therd party.
The 6529 Museum District proposed by the collective project OM formed by a group of dev, creators and artists with the dream to create an art district on the metaverse in which differents communities of artists from the crypto world can interacts and show their creations and create bridges togethers. Placed on the Oncyber metaverse, the 6529 Museum District is a good oportunity to connect with others and to see what´s going on the web3 art movement and crypto art.
I have been honored to participate with my curated exhibition VBOOT in oncyber, an NFT project coming from a generative art experience using processing and openprocessing.
On the project I was searching for a reconnection between the Js code and me, to generate moving abstract paintings. Using images coming from popular culture, art history, and AI, the aesthetics that I maintain, especially in the first sketches, refer to those pictorial experiments carried out by artists and programmers during the first years of the net. art through web 1.0, consoles, and printers. A kind of tribute to those pioneers and their ideals of decentralization and creative freedom.
The original pieces are generative. The token is a video capture of the generative piece, each variation is different.
